Juneteenth Celebration

Join us as we celebrate Juneteenth on Wednesday, June 16th at the Irmo Community Park. Juneteenth is a national holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. It is a day of immense cultural significance for African Americans. It's a time to remember the struggles and resilience of their ancestors and celebrate their hard-won freedom. This occasion is a celebration for all Americans to recognize the enduring spirit and triumphs of a community.  The event goes from 6-9pm, and we are in the process of determining how Emmaus can best help or support the event.  Stay tuned for more information!

The Table

The idea behind The Table is simple. Enjoy a nice meal and meaningful conversation with some other awesome human beings. Coming to a Table will not only offer you a fun evening, but it will also help to establish a few familiar faces when you come to worship on Sunday morning. When you sign up, you will be sent to a host home along with other people from various life stages. We ask that you bring a side or a dessert, the host will provide the main dish, and we will take care of the flow of the evening.

MORE Justice Brainstorming Session

Have you heard about MORE Justice? Have you participated in an action, a rally, or a house meeting? Are you on the fence about your participation? No matter your answer to those questions, all are welcome to join us at our brainstorming session on Wednesday, January 17th at 6:00pm at the Irmo Branch Library. MORE Justice organizers have graciously added this event to their calendar and it is specific to Emmaus (this would usually be done with multiple churches in one space). Let's take advantage of the opportunity to sit with MORE Justice organizers and do some strategic planning around our justice ministry, upcoming initiatives, and how we can bring more of a presence to the Irmo area. If you have any questions, please reach out! Hope to see you there!  Click here to register.
