Connect With Us
We have a variety of ways for you to find connection here at Emmaus. We are big fans of “life” and we are convinced that it is possible to live life well. We take our cue from Jesus who is a big fan of life too and who seems to believe, even more than we do, that it’s possible for us to live a really beautiful life. We hope to create some space for people to wrestle with the big things in life. If you come with a bunch of questions, we would love to help you find some answers. If you come with nothing but answers…well, we would love to help you start asking a few more questions. All in the hope that we can somehow learn to be more faithful with the sacred gift we call our life.
Community Updates
We look forward to getting to know you! By submitting your email address, you will receive a welcome packet and Community Update emails. We promise to not overwhelm you with too much communication.
StartingPoint
StartingPoint is an opportunity to learn more about who we are, where we are headed, and what it looks like to be a part of Emmaus Church. You will have a chance to meet some of our staff and ask any questions you may have. Email Lindsey for more information or to learn when the next StartingPoint is scheduled.
The Table
Church is a not a place you go or an event you attend, but church is a people you belong to. We are convinced that one of the most radical and revolutionary things we can do is make time to share a table together.
The idea behind The Table is simple. Enjoy a nice meal and meaningful conversation with some other awesome human beings. Coming to a Table Event will not only offer you a fun evening, but it will also help to establish a few familiar faces when you come to a gathering on Sunday morning.
The Table happens every other month. When you sign up you will be sent to a host home along with other people from various life stages. We ask that you bring a side or a dessert, the host will provide the main dish, and we will take care of the flow of the evening.
Interested in signing up and/or learning more? Email Lindsey for details.
Groups
The full life of God meets us in a unique ways as we live our lives together. Groups are intentional communities built around vulnerability, compassion and truth telling where we carve out time to talk about the things that matter most.
We launch GroupLife as often as possible and really love the opportunity to help get them started off on the right foot.
Office Hours
Pastor Nick hosts virtual office hours on Tuesday evenings. It is a great opportunity to ask questions about the previous Sunday’s sermon, learn more about Emmaus, and get to know Pastor Nick and other people from our community better.
Join a Team
One of the fastest ways to get connected at Emmaus Church is to join one of the Teams who help put together and pull off our Sunday morning gatherings. The church is a group of people and so the church can’t be the church without….people.
We want your involvement at Emmaus Church to be holistic and sustainable and so we do not want to “church” you to death. Being busy is not the goal. You do not have to commit to serving every week in order to be on an Emmaus Team.
Connect Team: This Team helps set the mood. That sounds a little creepy, but we want to create an environment that makes it easy for people to connect. If you have a face that can smile, or even just smirk a little, you my friend can be on the Connect Team.
Emmaus Kids Team: Do not disqualify yourself from this Team. Kids don’t care about how un-qualified you think you are because they just want to hang out and have a good time. On this Team, you get to be a part of helping our kiddos discover who God created them to be, what it means to follow Jesus, and establish meaningful relationships. Who doesn’t want in on that?
Student Ministry Team: Teenagers are just the best, aren’t they? On this team, volunteers lead students through some intentional conversation about what they heard during the message and stay up to date with what's going on in the lives of our 6th-12th grade students.
Production Team: This team helps facilitate everything that has to do with worship on a Sunday morning. Audio, sound, & visuals; If you are interested in learning more about how we leverage technology to elevate what God’s doing at Emmaus Church, this is your team!
Missions
As a church that believes in wide-eyed participation, we not only believe in the importance of active involvement to come alongside those in need, but we also desire everyone to understand the systems in place that facilitate inequity in our community. Please check out the Missions page to learn more. You will find Do Some Good opportunities and a list of all of the Emmaus Mercy and Justice teams. If you are interested or have questions, please email Dylan.
Prayer Team
The prayer team meets every 3rd Sunday in between services (9:50-10:20 am) for prayer before church starts. The team is kept up to date of any new prayer requests via email. The prayer team is also available after church for prayer if needed. If anyone feels called to be a prayer warrior, they can reach out to Susan Rush.
